The FY2027 NROTC application portal states that online applications for Navy, Nurse, and Marine Option close at midnight on 31 January 2027. That is the confirmed online closure for the 2026-2027 application season.
Your student’s Marine scholarship coordinator may need the completed packet, interview, and fitness results earlier. The portal closure does not establish those local processing deadlines or the dates of Marine selection boards.
Confirm the Marine Option timeline
Contact the scholarship coordinator through your Marine recruiting district and confirm:
- When the coordinator needs each application item.
- Who will arrange the interview and Marine Physical Fitness Test.
- Which board can review the completed file and how results will be communicated.
We have not verified the current local Marine board dates. A schedule for an enlisted commissioning program should not be used as the high school scholarship calendar.
Complete the right application requirements
Marine Option shares the NROTC application, but uses a separate selection process and the Marine Physical Fitness Test. Follow the official Marine Option instructions and your coordinator’s directions.
If your student is considering Navy Option too, compare the Navy scholarship calendar. Our Navy and Marine scholarship guide explains the two routes, and the fitness comparison separates their tests.
